MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Meet our Spring Member Spotlight- Sydney Smith!
Sydney was born and raised in Michigan, and attended Michigan State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science Pre-Law, with a minor in Law, Justice, and Public Policy. She moved to Florida to pursue her legal education at Stetson University College of Law, where she is currently a 3L.
In her time at Stetson, she has been an active member of the Stetson FAWL chapter. She currently serves as the President, and during her 2L year she served as the Pro Bono Chair and Vice President. Sydney is also a member of Stetson’s Moot Court Board and has competed three times. This past fall she worked on campus at the Veterans Advocacy Clinic, and now this semester she is doing an externship at the VA’s Office of General Counsel. After graduation, Sydney hopes to go into the public sector and practice employment law.
Outside of school and work, Sydney loves to cook, read, tend to her houseplants, and go to the beach.
