Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (PFAWL) is a network of motivated and supportive individuals who seek to promote the advancement of women in the legal profession.

Our Mission

PFAWL is devoted to actively promoting the advancement of women in the legal profession and furthering the common interests of its members by encouraging camaraderie and learning. PFAWL is committed to issues concerning our legal community, especially to challenges women encounter within it. PFAWL seeks to promote women’s opportunities and rights by enhancing the visibility of women within the legal profession and within communities by creating and maintaining supportive networks among women in the legal and other professions.

2026: Stars, Stripes, and Equal Rights

As our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers proudly embraces this year’s theme, “Stars, Stripes, and Equal Rights.” Throughout the year, we will honor the trailblazing women who broke barriers, challenged inequality, and paved the way for generations of women in the legal profession.
 
Their legacy inspires our continued commitment to advancing women lawyers through mentorship, advocacy, leadership, and service. As we celebrate those who came before us, we also look to the future by strengthening our community, welcoming new members, and empowering the next generation of women leaders. Together, we honor our history while continuing the work of promoting equality, opportunity, and the advancement of women in the legal profession.

Each year PFAWL holds monthly socials, including our staple Shrimp Boil event for members in the fall, and a New Year’s Party! Our members also hold smaller gatherings via our meet-ups once a month to have a more intimate gathering!
